Your "Alternate Number" services are all managed online from your client area. After your account is activated, you can login at http://www.ssaphone.com using the email address and password you gave when you signed up. From there, click on the "My Services" link on the menu to the left to view the services you've ordered.
For eFax services, click on the phone number or the details icon to go to the product details page where you can view your usage, go to "Fax Central" to view received faxes or send a fax online, or upgrade/downgrade your account. You can also download the Microsoft Windows VNFax software to send/receive faxes without having to login to the website.
For 'Alernate Number' or forwarding services, click on the phone number or the details icon to view usage, check voicemail online, manage your service or upgrade/downgrade your account. You can also use the manage icon from the services page to go directly to managing your forwarding settings.
On the manage page you can choose:
Whether to forward the number directly or use call screening where upon answering you will receive a message giving you the option to take the call or ignore it.
You can also choose whether your caller hears music or ringing - it's probably better to give them music if you're screening your calls as it can seem like you're not answering if it takes you longer to answer and choose an option - your caller may give up and disconnect before you get to answer.
You can choose the timeout - the amount of time your caller hears ringing or music before sending them to voicemail or hanging up. If you have it set to screen your calls you may want to set this to a higher number of seconds to allow time for you to answer.
You can enable/disable voicemail - after a call has timed out and nobody has answered, the caller will be sent to your voicemail or disconnected.
You can specify a phone number (or multiple numbers) to forward your calls to.
You can set or change your PIN which is used to check voicemail by phone or place outgoing calls through the service.
